Miss Montauk reports fantastic Cod Fishing over the
weekend - for more info call Capt Jamie 631-668-1545 2/1
The Brooklyn fished the Oil Barge Wreck and reported
excellent mackeral fishing Sat & Sun. The fish
were mixed sizes and bit the whole day long. 1/5
Fares on the Brooklyn reported good mackeral fishing
during the week. Catches up to a half a cooler
reported. Monster ledge was the best area. 1/5
Herring fishing on Coney Island pier reported
excellent. Catches of over 100 fish reported on
Thursday and Friday. Best time was sunset into the
evening hours. Tsunami shrimp rigs have been
working best. 1/5
Received some cod fishing reports from Montauk.
Our guys reported a mixed bag of small cod and large
ling. 11/25
Our long time friend and customer "Lemon" and
Captain Mike, slaughtered the Bass with some Blues
in Ambrose Channel. Fish forged with sand
eels. Blues 8 - 15 lbs, and Bass up to 34"

Bucktail with green belly Strip Gulp. 8/14
Tony "Fish" caught a 11 lb 7 oz Fluke by the
Marine Parkway Bridge.

Bennett Sea Ramp using Spearing & Squid.

fishing off Rockaway beach on Karen Ann Charters. 7/20
8 year old Joe Frontera caught a 8 lb 2 oz Fluke and a 4
lb 5 oz Sea Bass using squid spearing fishing aboard the
SeaQueen.

fishing on the Pattywagon using Gulp.

lb 10 oz by the Marine Parkway Bridge on Spro and Gulp.

Paul Paris caught a 25 lb striped bass aboard Capt. Dave
fishing at night on 8" Gulp.

Michael & Jim from the shop fished Louies pier on
the outgoing tide for Fluke on Wednesday. Spro
bucktails & Squid rigs were working best topped with
Spearing and Squid. They had 4 keepers and many
throw backs close to keeper size. 6/10
Jerry & Frank fished Great Kills on the outgoing
tide using spearing and squid for Fluke. They had
a 6 lb & 5 lb fish and many throw backs.

Captain Dave reported catching an average of 25-30
Keepers per night, averaging 15-25 lb per fish.

Neil Winogread landed a 7 1/2 lb Fluke while fishing on
the Sea Queen 7. He was fishing with Bucktail. 6/3
Ahmad caught a 35 lb Bass using live eels fishing on the
Sea Queen 7.

off Plum Beach.

Curtis Lybrand landed a 37 lb 5 oz Striped Bass using
Bunker Head, fishing by Floyd Bennett.

Ahmad Saleh fished the Sea Queen 7 last night and landed
a 40 lb 2 oz Striped Bass fishing with 8" Gulp
Alive Sandworm.

bunker while fishing on the Karen Ann in the back
of Jamaica Bay. 5/16
Mike Sheehan landed a 6 lb Fluke using spearing/squid

Pashko Shkreli caught a 9 lb 11 oz Fluke in Jamaica Bay

John Figueroa caught a 18 lb 1 oz Weakfish using bunker
chunk while fishing in Great Kills Harbor.

weighing in at 15 lbs, while fishing with bunker in
Jamaica Bay.

Flounder while fishing in Jamaica Bay, he limited
out.

John Figueroa Jr., caught a 14 Lb 7 oz Weakfish on
Bunker in Staten Island.

Jerry, Michael & Vincent from the shop fished aboard
Blue Waters Charters out of Green Marsh Harbor,
MA. They had 75 Haddock and 50 Cod Fish up to
about 10 lbs.

Keith from the Blue Sea reported that a hand full of
fares had about 40 whiting, 50 ling and a couple of
blackfish fishing Scotland Light on Sunday. 4/27
Captain Steve from the Sea Queen reported 30 keeper
Flounder from Sunday morning's trip. The boat
fished the Plumb Beach area. Captain Steve also
reported the Striper fishing has been good at night with
a combination of keepers and shorts both being
taken. The boat has been fishing the Floyd Bennett

Captain Dave reported Sunday's catch was a combination
of Ling and Flounder taken at the Cedars off Sandy
Hook. Striper fishing at night has been good with
both shorts and keepers being taken. The boat has
been fishing the RC buoy area.

Sheldon Knecht landed a 2.4 lb & 1.8 lb Flounder
while fishing on the Sea Queen.

Congratulations to Joshua Smith who caught his first
Flounder weighing in at 1.6 lbs. He was fishing in Cross
Bay.

"The New Captain Dave" had 7 people on board
and caught 15 fish.

On opening day Mike Viola landed a 2 lbs 13 oz flounder
while fishing on Miss Conduct II in Jamaica Bay in 12 ft
water using sandworms. He had 9 other fish including 6
keepers.

COD FISHING WAS GREAT WEDNESDAY - A LOT OF 30 & 40
POUNDERS

This past weekend many of our customers fished Montauk
with very good catches of codfish were reported - some
reported catches of up to 30 fish per man with sizes
ranging from throw backs to 15 lbs. The
Blue Sea ran an Offshore Sea Bass trip leaving this past
Friday at 8 P.M. and returning Saturday at 9 P.M.
Captain Nick reported many customers limited out on Sea
Bass up to
7 lbs - the fish were taken on both clam baits and jigs
- another trip is planned for Friday February 20th - for
information contact Captain Nick at 718-769-2927.
